Forgeline Launches Six New Wheels at SEMA
The engineering team at Forgeline has been working VERY hard, over the past few months, to complete six brand new wheel designs that will make their public debut at the 2014 SEMA show, November 4-7, in Las Vegas, NV. These latest designs represent a broad range of styles and applications, while remaining 100% true to Forgeline’s deeply-rooted commitment to motorsport and performance engineering.
Three of the latest wheel designs (the RS3, LS3, and CR3) comprise an entirely new category, the brand new Heritage Series, within Forgeline’s wheel catalog. Forgeline Heritage Series wheels represent the best of Forgeline designs from over two decades of engineering and manufacturing America’s finest custom made-to-order forged aluminum wheels. These classic designs are retro-cool and work well with virtually every class of automobile. The Forgeline RS3 and LS3 pay homage to the very first Forgeline wheel designs, the classic RS and LS models of the 1990s, but have been reborn as modern 3-piece wheels with updated engineering and manufacturing technology. A traditional five-spoke design with tapered spokes, smooth edges, and flowing organic lines, the RS3 is muscular yet sophisticated. While the LS3 is elegant and timeless, thanks to a tight mesh design with very intricate machining details. The Forgeline CR3 is a throwback to one of the most iconic and popular wheels in the history of hod rodding. A traditional five-spoke design with inverted tapered spokes and smooth edges, the CR3 evokes a traditional muscle car flavor while delivering modern technology and performance. All three of the new Heritage Series wheels are available in 18 and 19 inch diameters with a large range of widths and completely customizable offset and finish options. (The LS3 is also available in 17 inch diameters.)
Forgeline has also added two new models to the incredibly popular One Piece Forged Monoblock Series, including the brand new AR1 and GA1R Open Lug Cap Edition. The AR1 is an exciting evolution in Forgeline monoblock styling, with a very angular split spoke pattern, extra-deep concave profile, and radically-chamfered outer edge. The GA1R Open Lug Cap Edition, similar to Forgeline’s race-proven GA1R Open Lug wheel, has significant material machined from the center area for additional weight reduction, improved access to the lugs, and an exaggerated concave look. But unlike the GA1R Open Lug racing wheel (which will NOT accept a center cap), the “Cap Edition” has a redesigned hub center and includes a unique specially-engineered tall center cap to cover the hub spindle. As with other Forgeline monoblock wheels, the AR1 and GA1R Open Lug Cap Edition wheels are available in 18, 19, 20, and 21 inch diameters with a range of widths and offsets and the usual full set of customizable finish options.
Forgeline has also launched the latest three piece Concave Series wheel, the GT3C Concave. The GT3C combines the race-bred styling from the center locking one piece forged monoblock GTD1 competition wheel (designed for teams competing in the IMSA United SportsCar Tudor Championship GTD class) with the fitment flexibility and deep-dish appearance of a three piece modular wheel. The GT3C is a ten-spoke wheel with a concave profile, long evenly-spaced I-beamed spokes, and “hidden” lug holes. It is available in 18, 19, 20, and 21-inch diameters and is fully customizable in fitment and finish, including center lock applications and your choice of exposed or hidden hardware.
